Cookie Policy
Version of 20 July 2026.
This policy describes the cookies set by Onde Interactive, their purpose, their retention period and how to withdraw your consent. It supplements the privacy policy.
1. What we use
Onde Interactive uses PostHog Cloud (European Union) to understand how the platform is used. PostHog is an audience analytics tool which:
- receives only your internal pseudonymous identifier (never your email address, your name, or the detail of your votes)
- hosts the data in a data centre located in the European Union
- does not record your session (no session replay)
- does not perform autocapture (only explicitly defined events are sent)
No data is sent to PostHog before your explicit consent via the consent banner.
Onde Interactive also uses Stripe to process payments. See §2 bis.
2. Cookies set
| Cookie | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
better-auth.session_token | Maintaining your authentication session | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembering your language preference | Strictly necessary | Browser session |
theme | Remembering the theme (dark / light) | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
consent | State of your consent choice (accepted / refused) | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
ph_* | PostHog pseudonymous identifier | Audience analytics (consent required) | 1 year |
__ph_opt_in_out_* | PostHog opt-in / opt-out state | Audience analytics (consent required) | 10 years (PostHog default) |
Cookies marked "Strictly necessary" are set without requiring prior consent, pursuant to article 82 of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended and to the CNIL recommendation "Cookies and other trackers": their sole purpose is to enable the operation of a service you have expressly requested (staying logged in, keeping your language, your theme and your consent choice).
2 bis. Stripe — payment
When you make a payment, you are redirected to the secure payment page of Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.. Stripe sets its own cookies on that page — in particular __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid — for the purposes of securing the transaction and preventing fraud.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the performance of the payment you have requested: they serve neither audience analytics nor advertising, and are set only during the payment journey, never during ordinary browsing.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention — device identifier | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
__stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention — payment session | Strictly necessary | 30 min |
Stripe acts here in part on its own behalf, as an independent controller: see §6 of the privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.
3. Retention period
| Data | Location | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
Functional cookies (better-auth.session_token, NEXT_LOCALE, theme, consent) | Your browser | See §2 |
PostHog pseudonymous identifier (ph_*) | Your browser | 1 year (renewed on each visit) |
| Audience analytics events (PostHog server side) | PostHog Cloud (EU) | 7 years (PostHog default setting) |
You can request the deletion of the data associated with your pseudonymous identifier at any time via the contact form.
4. How to withdraw your consent
You can change your choice at any time:
- Via the "Cookies" link in the footer of every page of the site — this re-displays the consent banner, allowing you to click Refuse to withdraw your acceptance, or Accept to reinstate it.
- Via your browser settings — you can manually delete the cookies set by the site.
If you refuse consent, no audience analytics cookie (ph_*) will be set and no event will be sent to PostHog. Strictly necessary cookies will remain in place to enable the service to function.
